Remember you’ll die soon

Remembering that I’ll be dead soon is the most important tool I’ve ever encountered to help me make the big choices in life. Because almost everything — all external expectations, all pride, all fear of embarrassment or failure – these things just fall away in the face of death, leaving only what is truly important. Remembering that you are going to die is the best way I know to avoid the trap of thinking you have something to lose. You are already naked. There is no reason not to follow your heart.” -Steve Jobs

When steve said these words he had no clue what effect this will have on his next generation. “Remembering that i’ll be dead soon” always solved every question for me in my short life.

This all started with simple internet browsing back in 2005 and landing down on the commencement speech by Steve jobs. I little knew about steve jobs back then or the effect he had over the world. I knew he was “Father of modern computer” and that was enough to respect this awesome guy. As soon as i heard the commencement speech it made me so excited that for next few months i was seen running around sharing this video with everyone i can catch, i even got my teachers to share this video in classes. I hope few got the essence of the learning Jobs was sharing.

To me his death was a shocker, i wanted him to live long and give more to the society. Not in terms of products, but definitely in term of innovation and perspective.
